Performance Design 2007 - 2008

Purchasing Agent II

Responsible for all Supply Chain functions as the sole purchasing person for Performance Design which included purchasing and negotiations for raw materials off a ERP program, as well as, off-shore purchases, also purchased MRO items off Requisition program.  Managed contracts with key suppliers and contractors.  Managed the Supplier Certification Program and Insurance Certifications on a corporate level.

Purchasing Agent II 2004-2007

Responsible for the purchasing for the production line, seeing the commodities from planning of raw materials to finish product. Commodities include all the packing foam and production labels, adhesives, and misc. parts used for packaging. Also kept the responsibilities of the MRO as well as a raw material purchasing responsibilities

Purchasing Agent I 2001-2004

Responsible for purchasing equipment parts and components used for production. Purchasing all MRO goods for the tool cribs, including safety and PPE equipment.

Work with suppliers establishing blanket orders. Helps set up a new vending machine system, automating the tool crib area. Chaired the recognition program used.

Purchasing Expeditor 2000-2001

Contact suppliers to ensure product are on schedule for delivery, also follows up on late orders. Works with receiving of the distribution of materials. Helps the Purchasing department with clerical functions, and assists purchasing agents with any special tasks or assignments. Started purchasing office and janitorial supplies for all Lifetime’s buildings.

Receiving and Material handling 1998-2000

Load, and unload incoming trucks , restacking when necessary onto pallets to prevent damage. Certified to unload chemical and Haz-Mat materials. Operate industrial equipment. Delivered materials to designated areas. Recorded all transaction through Lifetime’s software system. Worked with various departments on discrepancies.

Shipping/Transportation Supervisor 1996-1999

Supervised and coordinated activities of workers in lifting, transporting, storing and loading materials, by using material handling equipment. Coordinated the flow of materials. Train new workers. Wrote processes for the area.

Shipping and Receiving 1992-1996

Lifted heavy items by hand and with power equipment. Certified as a Forklift operator. Work in the warehouse to keep the materials organized and it the right areas. Cycle counted materials for accuracy. Kept inventory records and entered data into the computers. Communicate with different department about delivery and storage of products.
