Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor

Job Duties: I am responsible for the overall operation of Aircraft maintenance,

I plan, direct, layout & coordinate the activities of the department to minimize delays and maximize production & efficiency. Train & assist my subordinates in proper procedures, methods & practices to be followed in each respective duty. Make available the necessary manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives and any other required technical data. Provide technical assistance as required. Maintain all shop equipment and tools in a serviceable and working condition and report any unsafe conditions or equipment. Coordinate with lead personnel ensuring that all documentation and work records are properly prepared and executed by the responsible personnel. Maintain the premises of the Repair Station in a clean and orderly manner. Responsible for the proper handling of all parts while in repair process and the preservation of all units or parts during process through the shop and after work is completed. Interface with customer representatives on a daily basis for progression of work being accomplished or planned to be accomplished on that day. Evaluate non-routine work cards for parts, man hours and span time, and indicate corrective action. Initiate requisition for stock and materials required. Monitor the status of each Aircraft in service on a daily basis. Perform audits on all documents after work is completed and bought off by the Inspectors. Authorize & assign jobs/people according to priority.

Job Duties: DC-8-60 & 70 Aircrafts. Performed all station duties in a supervisory Position, performed daily scheduled / unscheduled maintenance, troubleshoot Aircraft Pilot write-ups, Performed CFM Engine Compressor washes, make Decisions on time, manpower, parts and materials required, update MX Control on Aircraft status and ETIC. Traveled anywhere required in the US and overseas to recover Aircraft where MX is not available.
