I have been granted thesis writing permission on 30th July 2012. I will submit my thesis by October 2012.

Ph.D. Thesis title- “Prevalence and role of enteric bacterial pathogens in emergence of HIV drug resistance among HIV infected individuals” Ph.D. thesis work involves the isolation and identification of the enteric bacterial pathogens (Clostridium difficile, Salmonella, Shigella etc.) in HIV positive diarrheal patients, CD4 cells count, HIV viral load quantitation and HIV genotyping to recognize the mutations which cause drug resistance.

I was also actively involved in following projects under supervision of Dr. Sanjeev Sinha (Additional Professor) Department of Medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi.

1. “Study of prevalence and types of baseline HIV drug resistance in the antiretroviral treatment-naive and previously treated HIV infected Northern India population Funded by NACO. (A collaborative UCLA, USA and AIIMS project).”
