Determine necessary welding procedures

Read and interpret blue prints

Layout and fabrication of pressure vessels

Install and weld Nozzles

Fit-up and welding of pipe thin gauge and heavy wall with multi-pass welds

Perform Hydro Tests

Perform Quality Tests on Welds including visual and dye penetrant tests

Make quality welds to x-ray standards

Bevel steel for fit-up

Clean and dress steel for finished product

-2010 Chattanooga Boiler and Tank, Matrix, Fluor, CTI Field Services

Weld and fit, plate steel and various attachments on above ground storage tanks

Read and interpret blue prints

Direct crane with proper hand signals or voice command

Erect scaffolding

Manage crew as lead man with up to 8 people

Coordinate with foreman and job-superintendent

Hang large plate steel, I beams and other necessary steel

Make new and repair welds on structures

Cut out tube panel sections

Fit and weld tubes in all positions with restrictions to access

Chip and removal of refractory

Install and removal blinds

Assemble man-ways and pipe flanges with proper bolts and gaskets

Overlay welds

Work in confined spaces

Weld using various processes: SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and FCAW

Welding exotic steels such as; Inconel, hastalloy, Titanium, duplex materials and other high nickel and high chromium type stainless steels

Perform one sided welds with and without purging gas

Cutting and burning using plasma, oxy-acetylene and air arc-gouging

Basic heavy machinery operations

Maintain a safe and organized job site
