Technical Support Manager (Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain Operations – NA & LATAM)

• Accountable to manage technical, mass volume production activities at (EMS/CM) organizations. (Elcoteq, Celestica, Flextronics, Jabil, Wistron etc multiple global locations)

• Involvement with products identified to be outsourced. Support technical transfer of new products from NPI phase throughout the whole product life cycle at EMS sites.

• Ensure front end product reliability compliance with carrier specific requirements pertaining to technical approvals, FAI.

• Engage with design, quality and sustaining teams for continuous product improvements throughout product life cycle, help QA organization with carrier related tasks, customer returns, deep dives etc

• Ensure CM partners have adequate manufacturing and test and assembly capability and capacity for any new or existing products.

• Work with Design, Supplier Quality and Manufacturing engineering teams leading and solving complex technical issues (e.g. Mechanics, plastics, SMT, Testing etc etc )

• Working directly with supplier together with MSQE team and CM partner, solving issues occurring in daily mass production environment (Renesas, Anadigics, KHVatec, Foxconn, Nypro, HiP, MFLEX etc etc)

• Work with EMS Management to coordinate pilots / pre-qualification builds and drive corrective and preventative actions.

• Conduct readiness reviews with CM partner leading up to qualification builds and production volume ramps.

• Determine key performance metrics (KPI) and review associated operational performance reports

• Support CM partner with the resolution of difficult technical issues and assist to resolve commercial claims after determining liability from root cause and analysis, lead yield improvement projects

• Drive continuous improvement at CM partners’ site

o Monitor and lead several KPI’s: yields; trends; production cycle time; scrap; trouble-shooting performance.

• Manage SMT profile acceptance, carrier specific SW quality assurance, applied Lean manufacturing practices, cost & scrap reduction proposals and management.
