I worked as an Architectural Assistant in the design office of this medium sized practice after qualifying as an Architect. I was involved a wide range of projects including a new hospital, new care centre for the elderly, a business incubation centre & a number of crèche facilities. I designed & oversaw the construction of a number of private dwelling houses & the alterations & extensions to a number of protected structures. I gained key Project Management & design experience being an active member of a lively & discursive team.

I worked as an Architectural Assistant within a design team working on a high end residential project. My responsibilities included producing masterplan drawings and new building proposals. I was responsible for the production of drawings for the tender drawings along with specifications & details.

I worked as an Architectural Assistant within a multi discipline design team working on a large industrial project for a Multinational in Lexlip, Co Kildare. I played a key coordinating role for this project liaising closely with the many specialists involved to develop the program and room-by-room concept layouts, acquiring specialist knowledge of numerous systems required to operate the facility.

I worked as an assistant to both Architects and housing engineers. My duties included surveying and drawing plans for housing schemes and assisting the Architects produce masterplan drawings for the county development plan.

I am a keen sports fan, mainly football, rugby and soccer. I like to keep fit by swimming, running and playing indoor soccer. I have always loved painting and sketching. I also enjoy travelling; it is one of the key reasons for my interest in architecture.

I have a keen interest in Architectural criticism & have written for the RIBA journal (May 2005). I am fascinated in the language Architects use in presenting their work to public & to other Architects, this is an interest that I am keen to develop.
