I have currently revamped the complete Quality Assurance program at American Colloid Co. to meet API (American Petroleum Institute) standards based on ISO 19011 and API spec. Q1.
I have managed both the Plant production lab and the Field Exploration lab.
I have also managed the Mobile Maintenance shop, Plant Stockpile yard, and Bulk Rail car and truck loading.
Until current I was the Quality Assurance Manager for the Lovell Plant location.
Work history with ACC
As stated above I was until current the Quality Assurance Manager. I was hired as a Packing Crew Hand and was promoted to Bulk Loader in 3 months. After approx. 6 months I was promoted to Lab Technician in the Plant Production Lab. Duties included verification and testing of a vast amount of products before, during and after production runs. At this time I also tested Field exploration samples.
I was then promoted to Lead Lab Tech. and Head of the Lab after approx. 2 ½ years. Duties included employee management, scheduling of production runs, quality control and some customer service. I also conducted numerous tests on experimental product batches.
After approx. 3 years I was promoted/transferred to Head of the Mobil Shop, Plant Stockpile Yard and Equipment Manager. Duties included not only maintaining the equipment it also included expanding upon a preventive maintenance program to fit the current and future needs of the Plant and Yard equipment. Duties also included the reduction in repair, fuel and labor costs. Equipment included forklifts, front loaders, dozers, trucks, man lifts, road graders, tractors, a scraper and a host of other equipment in between. Other duties included managing the employees of the Shop, Stockpile Yard, crude clay inventory, Dried and crushed inventory, pile arrangement and destination, and ensuring that the yard fulfilled the Plant’s crude and D&C clay needs. This included approx. 25 employees.
For approx. 7 months I have been the Quality Assurance Manager for the Lovell Plant location. This has entailed a complete revamp of the quality management system. I have brought the QMS up to spec so that it will meet API requirements.

From 1992 to 1994 I was self employed at an auto repair shop that I owned.
From 1990 to 1992 I was shop manager of an auto repair shop in Salt Lake City, UT.
In 1989 to 1990 I attended and graduated from Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie, WY.
From 1984 to 1989 I was employed at a road construction company, Nicholls and Lewis Inc. Experience there ranges from driving truck, operating heavy equipment, to shoveling asphalt.
Pre 1984 I was in High School and worked on the family farm.
