Inside support for Outside Sales Team. Received phone calls, faxes and emails from Contractors and Builders to prepare material takeoffs from blueprints. Determined resource requirements and building materials including lumber, engineered wood products, windows, doors, and special order material or products necessary to accomplish specific projects. Established deadlines, priorities, work sequences and planed work assignments based on general work schedules, short- and long-range plans developed with Contractor or project manager throughout different phases of the construction project. Created orders and purchase orders of special products needed in advance so as not to delay the work schedule. When material or special orders were requested I would develop plans and monitored the status of the work in relation to the overall schedule requirements by coordinating with dispatchers. Once scheduled I would contact the project manager and confirm delivery date and time of arrival. Received into computer system inventory of special orders from suppliers and inter-facility material transfers. Material was checked, unloaded and received by yard personnel, paperwork was then conveyed to me to be double checked against purchase orders, vendor’s acknowledgements and confirmations to insure costs, quantities, lengths and back ordered product. Any problems the vendor or sales person were informed and the appropriate measures were taken before processing. A received report was produced, attached with the purchase order and vendor confirmations and filed in the appropriate files under the particular vendor and month. Orders were handed to sales personnel and the dispatcher to schedule for shipment. Assisted in monthly cycle counts of categorized product to insure consistency between materials on hand and inventory showing in system. Assisted yard foreman with counting material, comparing counts, and finding shortages or overages.

Aided in year end inventory of store, yard and warehouses by pre counting items in advance to help ease the inventory process. Dumb terminals and scanners where used to enter inventory, when section was complete, information was saved and a report printed before processing.
