EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
2006 to April 2009 Weight Loss Enterprises: Branch Manager.
I managed and trained the branch’s staff and assistant managers, evolved individualized treatment protocols
and counselled and motivated clients on weight control and a healthy lifestyle. I stressed individualized customer
service and built a growing, loyal clientele at three Houston branches of this chain of weight-control clinics.
2004 to July 2006 Mills & Stowell: Administrative Manager.
I was responsible for all administrative oversight and office support for a family-owned investment banking firm.
1999 to June 2004 Recharge: Co-Founder and Owner.
I developed store design for the prototype location and then implemented a 9,000 square foot state-of-the-art
upscale salon and medical spa. I hired and supervised our 80 employees in retail space, a call center and
separately contained nail and hair sections. I directed assignments and developed our highly customized,
upscale service protocols for a rapidly-growing customer base. I set payroll for the staff and managed
product merchandising, retailing, distribution, and brand internet marketing for this innovative and
very successful facility.
• Acquired and merged upscale salons into a single location that drew a much larger customer base.
• Tied up and “flipped” commercial real estate as initial equity for first acquisitions.
• Raised $500,000 in investment capital and negotiated $800,000 in growth financing.
• By its fifth year, Recharge grossed nearly one million dollars per month at our single location.
1997 to 1999 Greenwood King Properties: Agent.
I partnered with a top producing residential Realtor, Ann Dashiell, and specialized in Inner Loop, River Oaks,
West University, Memorial, Tanglewood, MidTown growth areas, and in luxury high-rises. I also assisted
developers in new construction planning and development.
1996 to 1997 David Weekley Homes: Agent.
I successfully sold speculative homes for areas of "Lake Olympia" and "Waters Edge," and I developed expertise
in sales of new construction and lot sales. I also marketed our real estate services to companies and individuals.
1993 to 1996 John Daugherty Realtors Assistant.
I was assistant to Diane Lokey, one of the largest producers in the state of Texas. My areas of responsibility
included all aspects of residential real estate marketing, sales, contracts and closings with an emphasis on the
River Oaks, Tanglewood and Memorial areas of Houston. Homes ranged in price from $800,000 to $11,000,000.
1988 to 1993 Positions in Law Firms and the US Government.
I obtained a background in law and political affairs and gained hands-on expertise in charitable fund-raising,
event planning and project budgeting.
