Production Assembler II

• Read work orders, followed production drawings and sample assemblies and received verbal instructions.

• Read and interpreted blueprints and specifications to determine assembly sequence, tooling requirements, measurements and allowable tolerances.

• Assembled electronic components onto printed circuit boards.

• Determined assembly duties and selected components, such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors and integrated circuits.

• Twisted, bent, trimmed, stripped and filed wire leads of components.

• Mounted assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, on (PCB) printed circuit boards.

• Routed and connected nylese wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points.

• Placed plastic insulating sleeves around specified components and shrunk sleeves into place, using heat gun.

• Crimped wire leads on underside of board.

• Soldered together components with soldering iron to assemble fabricated metal items, as specified by work orders, diagrams, and layout.

• Installed bolts, screws, rivets and other fasteners to join parts, using power tools.

• Assembled and attached hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches, to assemblies.

• Applied sealer and masking compound to selected parts of board to protect parts from effects of wave solder process.

• Installed heat sinks, sockets, faceplates and accessories on boards.
