Client: Investors Bank & Trust, Boston, MA Oct’06 – Apr’08

Role: Sr. Business Analyst

The application was to develop a product to capture, analyze, calculate, and report risks for equities, and derivatives. It allowed traders to provide advisory services to clients including recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Interacted with the product manage to document vision, and scope for the product.

• Conducted joint application development (JAD) sessions to discuss the business requirements, workflow, and planned phases in development to facilitate software requirement specifications (SRS) design.

• Led client facilitation meetings to gather business process requirements from subject matter experts (SME’s) involved in trading shares for equities & bonds, and converted them into functional requirements by implementing the Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology.

The objective of the Auto Insurance Claims Processing was to integrate & upgrade the Claims Processing System, and various disparate systems on a common environment to enhance customer relationship management (CRM) by providing real time monitoring services for their auto insurance division. The project involved integration of all the disparate systems to provide remote access through a web-based interface, and maintaining the infrastructure required for these systems.

Responsibilities:

• Acted as a conduit between Project Manager, and IT team.

• Captured the requirements in Caliber RM (Requirement Management) system, and maintaining the versions of different requirements of the project by following systems development life cycle (SDLC).
