Description: Essar Steel Indian operations are expanding in terms of capability and capacity by implementing new production lines in the form of Plant B, ESPF, Pipe Mill, Plate Mill, ES Orissa Ltd. etc. With increasing and different capabilities and capacities, it is required to know and decide the best route for production well before starting the manufacturing for any customer demand. Mill Distribution System will be suggesting the best route amongst the many options available to meet the customer requirement in the most effective way considering cost, capacity, capability and quality constraints.

Description: ESTL factory planner solution with reference to sap merger changes. Currently FP solution has all the order, inventory, resources modelled for plant A and not for plant B. After sap merger of plant A and plant B the orders of ESTL (plant A) and ESHL (plant B), stock and VC attributes will be under one plant code. Based on that we need to make changes in interface and our tables to add plant B resource and route selection conditions for HSM and CSP resources.

Accurate Inventory Requirement Planning and visibility of HR Coils lying at ESTL, Hazira (as FG, as BTR, as WIP, as In-transit) and Paint Planning. Balancing of capacity loading to get optimum utilization of resources. Grouping of similar attributes orders within 5 day bucket to optimize setup and change over.
