• Provided senior leadership in successfully and safely starting up a $200MM investment in new Circulating Fluid Bed technology for Maleic Acid

• Saved $2MM per year with a new catalyst support in a Nylon Intermediates Plant. Specifically:
Designed, built and operated a computer-controlled small-scale multi-fixed bed reactor-scouting system, which identified new catalyst support and savings.
Developed, scaled up and commercially started up the improved catalyst.
• Invented a novel approach to an existing process step in Nylon Intermediates operation. US Patent # 6,284,927 issued in 9/4/2001. Currently in scale-up phase for commercialization.

• Conducted laboratory, pilot-plant and commercial-scale experiments on Fluid Bed units.
• Supervised numerous studies in various major universities worldwide and joint research programs with global companies. Published various internal and external articles, reports and presentations as seen on addendum.
• Saved $4MM per year by developing and installing new Fluid Bed Reactor feed distributor system.
