Major Responsibilities
1. Financial
a.) To ensure that the departmental cost and expense is well controlled and share the financial responsibility with concern department.
b.) To ensure that each place of work in housekeeping department is managed by a Management Team (Manager / Supervisors) who are totally accountable for their expenses and profitability.
c.) To ensure that the Department Operational budget is strictly adhere to.
Operational
a) To ensure that the housekeeping department is managed efficiently according to the established concept statements and adhere to Company and LHW Policies & Procedures and Minimum Standards.
b) Ensure that Floor Supervisors continually inspect their assigned areas and turn in their room inspections.
c) To handle guest and employee inquires in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found an assure follow up teeth guest.
d) Ensure that lost and found articles are stored.
e) To make sure linen inventory is done correctly.
Rooms Product
a) To ensure that all VIP arrival, Long staying guest and is checked and in line with the standard set-up by LHW, ensure that no defective or dirty room is sold to the guest.
b) To work closely with Front Office and Engineering Department to coordinate to ensure that rooms are blocked accordingly for maintenance.
Administration
a) To ensure that all the meetings are well planned, efficient and result oriented.
b) To attend daily morning operations briefing and ensure that deadlines on all projects are met.
c) To prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with workload and priorities for approval by the Rooms Operations Manager or designated manager.
Employee Handling
a) To develop Departmental Trainers assign training responsibilities and meet with Departmental Trainers monthly.
b) To conduct yearly performance appraisal and give employee’s regular feedback on their job performance.
c) To ensure that all employees report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
d) Ensure that an effective and complete training programmed is in use and that all employees are well trained and re-trained as needed.
e) Recruit best possible people to run the department efficiently and accurately.
