A 5 month consultancy contract using NearPoint software to extract the company’s 4000+ users Lotus Domino and Exchange messaging data into their new Exchange 2010 mail files.
Understand the company’s requirements and goals.
Plan and devise a strategy to complete the task which involved capacity planning and utilising the network in such a manor to not cause any outages or slowness of the network. The data being copied often exceeded 60GB + .
Work with developers to write a script to import the extracted data into the correct folders within the users mail file. This was done using the “MessageClass” names and “Message IDs. This saved time and money and ensured that all the correct data was imported correctly.
Tidy up the old Lotus Domino/Exchange 2010 environments to gather back disk capacity on the network.
