We had the opportunity to work with high end designers helping promote their items and boost sale opportunities. I worked about 40 hours while concurrently being enrolled in school, this job required constant interaction with customers and we had to stay active the entire time we were on the sales floor.

Information: This is a student organization designed for George Bush H.S. that requires a lot of interaction amongst students and business clientele. I was the Historian for 2 years throughout H.S. and was required to record our events and functions. We wrote business plans and competed nationwide in competitions. While learning hands on about business we also had to do our own to learn about profit gain and loss as an entire class per semester by selling cookies.

I am currently a senior at the University of TX at Dallas pursuing my B.S. in Neuroscience for clinical research. I have taken several lab courses in Biology, Neuroscience, Anatomy and Psychology where I worked with rats, specimen brain cross sections, x-rays and patient files and blotting techniques. I participated in planning experiments as well as evaluating test results. I monitored equipment performance and maintenance schedules. In addition, I was responsible for maintaining biohazard and radiation safety standards, and ensuring proper handling of potentially hazardous chemical and biological agents. In addition to the lab work, I recorded, calculated, and analyzed data, and prepared reports. I worked closely with a team of researchers and learned the value of good lab practice. While volunteering for MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, I successfully applied my knowledge of the medical sciences to my patients and was able to grow and learn from my experience there. I work well as a team member, am very reliable and organized, and willing to learn.
