EMPLOYMENT

2007-2008 Substitute Teacher, Trinity High School

The opportunity opened up for me to give back to my alma mater and I jumped right on it. Even though I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in Communications, I have taught U.S. History, Religious studies, and Biology, just to name a few. I have two main goals when teaching at Trinity, first being to complete the tasks at hand, secondly to build a trust and bond between students and faculty.

2006-2007 Manager, Qdoba Mexican Grill

With my knowledge and experience from Baskin Robbins, I was able to transfer my skills of pleasing the customers and employees to Qdoba Mexican Grill. The only difference is that I now handle more customers than before. I am now able to take the knowledge and philosophy behind Qdoba and run a solid shift that gets the job done. The more knowledge I have acquired, the more responsibilities I have earned.

2002-2006 House Boy, Kappa Delta Sorority

Over the span of four years, I started with the job of just a dishwasher and turned it into running a house full of forty-five plus women. Daily food purchases were made to feed the women that lived in house, as well as to prepare for Monday night meetings where a total of 130 women could show up for dinner. Outside of the kitchen I made sure to keep the house up to codes and standards, as well as making it looking presentable at all times.

1999-2006 Manager, Baskin Robbins

I started at the age of 15 working my way to the position underneath the owner. Over time I took the time to learn the many trades of the ice cream business, which included: Making and decorating cakes, supervising the work of other employees, training new employees, taking in and correctly putting away deliveries, promoting a clean and safe working environment for employees and customers, improving customer relations with the store, enforcing the rules, acquired wonderful customer relations having them return constantly, collaborated with other employees for improvement to staff and work conditions, developed an extensive group of friends and customers.
