Duties & Responsibility:

Develop, monitor and evaluate occupational health, safety and environment plans/programs for the project activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulation, client requirement and international best practices; evaluate, modify and implement alternative methods for achieving desired goals.

Provide technical support in annual audits and periodic evaluation of work environment as per requirement of OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001-2000.

Promoting safety awareness among employees. Loss prevention and loss control.

Risk Analysis, Accident Analysis, and control loss of materials & miss handling. Maintaining good house keeping and industrial hygiene, preparing safe working procedure based on safety analysis.

Ensure and document company’s compliance with mandatory HSE requirements and bring to management’s attention areas of deficiency Develop and implement HSE training and educational programs, safety meeting, workshops etc.

Abide various types of Fire Fighting Equipments and routine testing, Inspection and Annual Testing of Automatic and Manually Sprinklers System, Hydrant, rules of Fire Alarm Call Point, Fire Alarm Control Panel, Suction Hose, Nozzles, Foam Hose Reel, Foam Chamber AFFF, FFFP, Monitor, Fire Water Pump Room, Smoke & Heat Detector etc.

Co – ordination with client, Consultant third party Management, staffs and workers.

Ensure that all job site and/or camp site procedures are strictly followed.

Perform all reporting and administrative duties accurately and on time.

Ensure that each and every employee under his responsibility is fully trained as per the standards laid down.

Organize and conduct safety training for all staff. Keep and maintain up-to-date records of on-the-job and off-the-job training.

Develop and maintain good working relationship with the client and customers through regular personal contacts.

Maintain a professional and pleasant working relationship with all his superiors and peers at all times.

Ensure that all accidents, fire, loss, theft and damages are reported to superiors immediately and proper procedures are followed. In addition, where appropriate, take remedial action.

Ensure that periodic pest control is carried out in all areas of operation.

SAFETY DRILLS/EXERCISES

Main purposes of the drills/exercises are to familiarize the working personnel that what kind of emergency action to be taken in case of Accidents/Incidents and to familiarizing the proper reporting procedures to concern persons and departments. The following are some of the exercises/drills we conducting regularly to alert of the workforce at all time.

- Rescue of a person fell down from scaffolding/ladder

- Fire in camp

- Man Lost Exercise

- Rescue of trapped person from Tank/Vessel

- Vehicle Accident in remote areas.

SAFETY MEETING

- Discussion of Safety aspects with supervisors/workmen before starting jobs.

- Conducting weekly, monthly Safety meetings among Sr. Staffs, Jr. Staffs and workforce.

- Conducting Safety workshops
