• Refurbished the only Paper Machine, RECARD, Crescent Former.

• Reached company objective of 1500 MPM design speed with good quality within one month after installing a new Fan-pump, a Yankee grind and the new creping doctor holder. Did all the profiling of micro-adjustments.

• Updated and enforced the Health & Safety system.

• Coordinated all R&D projects and, in conjunction with maintenance, scheduled shut-down needs

• Supervised converting, which consists of two napkin machines and one united converting for bleached and unbleached Kraft, for the away-from-home business.

• Trained and motivated personnel to assume ownership and be leaders in order to meet company standards.

Production Manager

• Assembled brand new paper machine (Metso, DCT 100), selected the employees, trained them and started the machine in May 2006 successfully. Production rate increased steadily every month until it reached maximum speed design.

• Implementation of Health & Safety program.

• Planned production and budgets and coordinated with maintenance to schedule shut-down needs.

• Coordinated all R&D projects.

• Started another brand new Crescent Former machine in January 2009, Metso DCT 100.

J.R. Crompton Specialty Paper, Lydney, UK May 2003 – December 2005

Operations and Development Manager

• Supervised operations of the tea and coffee paper manufacturing using six TAD and a double head-box.

• In charge of the production optimization for the Simpson Clough and Devon Valley facilities.

• Coordinated the cost reduction program for the Lydney mill and production improvements for all facilities.

• Converted an overall mill net loss to a net gain and provided a turnaround of approximately $1.5 million/month.

Paper Mill Production Manager

• Tasked with fixing the large process difficulties of the new machine that was installed in April 2000.

• Synchronized the paper mill maintenance with the production department.

• Managed all activities related to the operations of four paper machines, 2 Crescent formers, and two fourdrinier (open breast roll) of the 260 M.T.D tissue mill acquired by Kruger Inc. in February 1999.

• Supervised as the mill underwent reorganization and reengineering during the turnaround process.

Kruger Tissue Manufacturing Ltd., Manchester, UK August 1995 – August 1999

Production Manager

• Transferred from Venezuela to bring on-line a new twin wire, high speed tissue machine.

• Ensured machine consistently produced Ultra soft products with increase in tonnage after the machine was commissioned in February.

• Implemented the technology and process capability to produce high grade Ultra soft tissue to extremely high tolerances.

• Supervised five paper machines, producing Ultra soft - Suave Plus brand for export, at the largest tissue manufacturing site in South America at the time.

• Worked with furnish that varied from 100% recycled to virgin pulp.
