Companys Profile: The Company is running a fleet of 8 tankers vessels out of which one is recently acquired 40,000 ton tanker vessel in partenership with Nimex petroleum Geneva, the vessels in fleet range from 6500mt to 40,000 mt and we are commercial operaters for all of them except the one owned,

Major job accountabilities:

• Issue & update marine procedures and implement them throughout the fleet of owned and managed vessel

• Co-ordinate with vessel owner worldwide and supervise the vessels delivery and re-delivery operations (including inspection, bunker survey etc)

• Direct the Operations Unit

• Compile/maintain marine records and performances of all shipping operations (ship-to-ship transfers, loading & offloading, petroleum products transportation etc)

• Attend and supervise vessel inspections and ISM Audits

• Participate in Tanker chartering for petroleum products transportation

• Maintain daily operational contact with all vessels under our management

• Liaise with Cargo inspectors for cargo supervision and ullaging up to b/l figures and give instructions accordingly to mother and receiving vessels

• Develop and update the Marine Operation Manuals of the Unit of the company

• Recommend competency & licensing profile for marine personnel to HR

• Work with the various Units in executing his duties and ensure the work is completed on schedule and within budget

• Coordinate with vessel owners on the clearance of all marine related issues

• Conduct meetings for the purpose of discussing on-going marine protects or other departmental issues within the company so goals and objectives are maintained and develop strategies to improve performance and reduce costs of marine operations

1. Coordinate, guide and supervise all the parameters of day to day operations of vessels managed/handled by the Company under management - Lagos operations

2. HSE

Responsible on all HSE matters and ensure all efforts are put for safety of Vessels, Crew, clients and third party properties, lives and environment.

a. Maintaining HSE statistics.

b. Implementation of SMC and regular audit.

3. Crewing

Monitor all crewing matters.

a. Verify all qualification needed while recruiting crew to vessels in line with Govt./local requirements, including the genuineness of the documents and medical records. Verify their statutory training and certification determine their placement on board and monitor their performance

d. Planning of crew change, liaison with clients to affect the same

4. Charter/projects.

a. Prior chartering Inspect, plan vessels and ensure required execution modifications to vessels to comply with Clients agreed requirements.

b. Coordinate with client, vessels crew and monitor execution of client activities are in line with agreement and safety of crew/vessel and ensure overall smooth operations.

5. Safety Management system & QMS

• Monitor Implementation of SMS on board vessels and base /office under Nigeria operations.

• Prepare and submit the Biannual and annual schedule of audit program- internal & external- for vessels, office, departments. Coordinate with all relevant external authorities and internal departments for inspection & audit.

i. Twice a year internal audit (may be carried out by qualified internal auditor or From Corporate office or by inter departmental/cross audit.

ii. Ensure all departments are implementing and all records are maintained as per requirement.

Employed as Safety officer or Safety Rep onboard on Accomodation Barges owned by ‘SEATRUCKS’ .the job involved overseeing all safety onboard Barge. Did 3 trips each 6 weeks 2on Accomodation barges west africa and 1 on Pipelay barge built in Singapore during the above period.

Job included overseeing all safety aspects and ensure implementation of companys safety management system .

Employed with Total on the AKPO project as MARINE SUPPORT ENGINEER(AKPO being

FPSO spread moored in Nigerian offshore) .

• Manage the assistance of Marine activities from onshore.

• The first level of contact for the marine operations: service, tug boats etc., onshore.

• Responsible for the regular supply of diesel oil and methanol to the FPSO.
