Tentoe, Inc. (Now Salespoint.com) Aug 2004 – Jul 2006
Carlsbad, NM
VP, Content Acquisition
I managed a group of 10 people (grew it to 20) who gathered and standardized product information for our clients. I was charged with creating a new taxonomy to support computer and consumer electronics products, as clients were predominantly in those fields. Built standardized and normalized attribute structures for all product categories. Worked with a company in India to normalize 600,000 products we had already done. Company closed my division in July of 2006.
PC Connection Nov 1996 – Jul 2006
Merrimack, NH
Director of Content Service
I managed a team of 16 copywriters (started out with just 4). We wrote all copy for product sold on our websites and captured thumbnail images for the site as well. I led efforts to refine, expand and improve our technical specifications, to normalize them in the database to support parametric search and side-by-side product comparison. In the process, we improved the writer's interface and increased productivity and data integrity dramatically by using standardized data structures.
Lawyer's Cooperative Publishing (Now West Publishing) Jan 1992 – Aug 1994
Rochester, NY

I managed a department of people who were doing quality assurance on legal data for print publication and for publication on Lexis-Nexus. I also managed an operation in Manila that keyed our Law Volumes into electronic format so they could be published and sold on CD-ROM.
Information Access Company Aug 1984 – Dec 1991
