Dear Hiring Personnel:
I am a physician assistant who graduated in May of 2012 from the University of North Dakota-Grand Forks, and I am interested in applying for the physician assistant opening at your facility.
As you will see from my enclosed resume, I have received training in a variety of clinical areas, including emergency medicine, inpatient hospitalist service, primary care, general surgery, pediatrics, and obstetrics. I was a registered nurse in the medical-surgical intensive care unit for
8 years at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato before attending PA school. Since beginning PA school, I have continued to work as a per-diem RN in the ICU.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss with you my qualifications and career possibilities. My schedule is flexible, and I am willing to meet with you at your convenience. I will contact you next week to see about arranging a meeting. If you need to reach me before then, please call me at 507-***-****.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to speaking with you soon. Sincerely,
