Lead Security Office, 2004 to 2012
Ensure the complete safety, security, and discipline of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors in the assigned school. Patrol the assigned building and grounds to prevent student disruptions, vandalism, illegal entry, and other activities that may detract from a safe, secure, and orderly school environment. Maintain the security daily records and reports of the security team. Used close circuit television surveillance cameras and assigned daily duties to the security team members.
Key Results:
Wrote employee post orders for Northside Middle School covering issues including disciplinary procedures, code of conduct, DCJS policy. The principal (client) states how he wants to run his school. Each school has their own way to interrupt the Norfolk Public School Code of Conduct policy.
Fostered over sixty of students who were on the borderline of dropping out and giving up. With the teamwork between them and environment conducive to a positive dialogue between the teaching staff, the student and security the student moved on to high school and on to college. Some went to Job Corps and other programs to complete their education.
