Responsibilities include blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniqes from patients of all age groups(infant

to adults). Knowledgeable of principles and procedures in pre-analytical testing including patient identification,

tube selection, labeling techniques, and proper care of patients following venipuncture. Other duties include answering

phones, logging in specimens, and assisting nurses with lab orders. Has comprehensive understanding of compliance of

safety. Maintains certification in CPR and ability to perform basic first aid. Posses the ability and skills necessary

to provide training for patient service technicians.
