Resume:

J.J. Martin

979-***-****

575-***-****

I am a party chief with thirty years of experience, seeking

permanent full time employment. I'm a motivated, dependable self starter who

enjoys surveying in just about all its forms and I take great pride in my

work.

I began surveying in the army setting battle stations and radar sites in 1981

and was an IO in the army from 1981-1986. When I got out of the army, the

economy wasn't the best for surveying so I did some carpentry until it picked

up in '88. I took a job as a rodman with Garber Surveying in Hutchinson KS.

and worked up to IO. I worked there until 1991. Realizing that further

advancement with the company would be virtually impossible, I accepted a

position with The Nelson Corp. in Dallas, TX. also as an I-man with the

possibility of moving up. I left there as a Jr. Party Chief in 1993 to work

with a small company and within three months, I was doing all the calcs and

scheduling the crews work along with doing all the research and dealing with

all the contractors. It was very long hours and very hectic as I was also

doing the field work with a three man crew. I stayed there until late '94

when the disagreements over bounced paychecks became too regular, I then did

contract work for Boyle Engineering for a year where I did various types of

work that included construction but also route surveys in national parks and

even monitoring a landslide in Utah. It was exciting and rewarding work but

with children, I needed health benefits and reluctantly left for a position

with Jones and Boyd Engineering.

I have done many types of surveying over the years, acted as Field

coordinator and even done some drafting and feel I would be an asset to any

company.

Objective: I am seeking permanent, full time employment with an established

Engineering/Surveying firm I can call home.
