Logistics Supervisor Salary Start: $42,500. End: 52,400.

Reports to Distribution Manager. Responsible for the supervision and direction of 4 people in Receiving Department and Assisting as back-up Supervisor in Shipping Department overseeing 24 people in a union-environment manufacturing and distribution that picks orders, packaging shipping via UPS/FEDEX and includes Safety as #1 priority, materials inventory, freight handling, material selection and distribution to meet production requirements and customer orders using Kanban, Lean, JIT and WMS. Monitor shift performance, delegate work assignments, handles and resolves all administrative issues, oversees quality inspectors for a timely and accurate inspections of incoming hot-items shipment including handling and storage of Returns and Non-conforming materials and perform other related activities.

Assured timely and accurate receiving, inspections and delivery of all incoming and return materials and parts.

Coordinate work with Line Supervisors and Managers to plan/set up the most efficient operations as possible.

Maintain associates staffing, scheduling, recruitment, cross training, performance review and attendance.

Oversee plant wide equipment maintenance repair scheduling.

Maintain warehouse inventory and storage of packaging materials for production use.

My accomplishment was when I changed the manual shipping to automated system by setting up conveyor line that runs as orders are pick, pack and shipped. Shipment was doubled from 3000 valves to 6000 valves per day and small parts from 100K TO 300k.

Warehouse Supervisor Salary Start: $40K End: 42K

Reports to Material Manager. Responsible for the supervision and direction of a 2 shift (20 people) union environment warehouse that include safety as #1 priority, materials inventory, materials selection and distribution to meet production requirements using Kanban, Lean, JIT and MRP inventory control systems. Monitor shift performance, delegate work assignments, handles and resolve all administrative issues, handling of incoming and return shipments including storage of non-conforming materials for review and performs other related activities.

Supervise timely and accurate receiving and storage of all incoming materials and returns.

Monitor staff performance and issue disciplinary action as required.

Maintain associates staffing, daily and week-ends scheduling, cross-training, performance review and attendance.

Maintain equipment through scheduled maintenance.

My accomplishments was when I gave training to all the staff about when is the right time to add water to the battery on Forklift equipment to prolong the life of the battery which saves thousands of dollars for repair and buying new ones.
