As Senior Team Lead, is leading teams of professionals involved in implementation, support and enhancement of systems for Health Care Domain specially related to MediTech. TSG’s products are deployed in 400+ hospitals in North America. Currently I’m working on the following projects at The Shams Group, Karachi office i.e. Shams Software Services;
• Galaxy Warehouse is an Enterprise-wide Data Warehouse/Repository & Knowledge Management, the Galaxy Series comprises data acquisition, transformation, presentation and administration components all rolled into one total warehousing and decision support solution.
• Web Universal View is a set of views of patient data that meet the archiving needs of a healthcare organization. Web Universal View uses the comprehensive data stored in the Galaxy Data Warehouse/Data Repository to provide an organized view of HIS data for any patient in the system, including patients purged from MEDITECH/ HIS.
• Electronic Health Records (EHR) is designed for physicians and HIM staff that make patient charts available on-line for immediate access. It integrates e-sign and chart completion components with automatic alerts for delinquent and deficient patient charts.
• E-Millennium is portal application and migrated version of Millennium, having presence on web and anywhere accessibility. It is built on Dot Net Nuke (DNN) framework. DNN is an open source, re-distributable package built in ASP.NET. We developed several modules to achieve the functionality of Millennium. Some of them are Web charts, Data grid, Generic Search, XML Transform, Excel export etc.
• TSG MS Image Viewer is an ActiveX control built for Win32 platforms using open-source base class library called CxImage from sourceforge.net. I was involved in design and QA.

• Physicians/ Provider Portal acts as a Web-based Physician Dashboard with EMR/EHR and personalized clinical decision support. It is used to access critical patient clinical information from any HCIS, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and/or transcription system. It provides the ability to personalize the tracking, graphing and analysis of vitals, lab results, ICU data and more for outcomes management and clinical decision-making to enhance the quality of patient care. PACS integration is also an important feature of this application.
• Coder Dashboard is a web-based application that facilitates an intelligent and rule base approach to managing the coding workflow and further enhances E-HIM process. It transforms the existing workflow by providing coders access to online structured documents. Coder Dashboard increases communication capabilities; on-time billing and most importantly enhance coding accuracy and revenue, and minimize legal risk issues.

Keyboard maps of various languages were incorporated to leverage data entry in a specific language.

• Inter-Departmental Interaction Form (IDIF) Workflow System: IDIF is an ISO 9002 standard form also referred to as Form 007 in hospital forums. This web-based intranet workflow application eliminated physical movement b/w various hospital departments and manual bookkeeping. MS Windows Active Directory was used for security control.

• Active Directory Update System: A form was made for the users to send their updated information via web to be updated in AD. An interface in VB was also developed for Administrative purposes to approve requests received from web and update in AD.

It comprises of two parts, one is for faculty & students containing features like announcements, self test, time-based revelation of modules/cases, email system and central sign-on. Second part is administrative which has provision for posting announcements, uploading modules/ cases, viewing graphical usage reports, adding student/ faculty, changing their passwords etc.

• Library of Images/ Unified Medical Language System (LoI/ UMLS): LOI is an Image Bank based on N-tier architecture that store images uploaded through web-based interface integrated with UMLS. It was developed for Medical College Faculty, which helps them preparing presentation for lectures. Systems major module was Domain authentication using ADSI and Win32 System APIs. I was involved in database analysis/design, form designing, COM+/COM based object development using VB ver 6.0, ASP Scripting, client-side scripting using Java Script and writing Stored Procedures / Triggers in MS SQL Server.

• Internet Accounts Management and Billing System (IAMBS): IAMBS is a desktop/ web-based client/server application based on 2-tier architecture.
