EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Tethyan Copper Company Pvt Pakistan Limited: Exploration Geologist, Reko Diq Project, Balochistan, Pakistan; April 2005 – November 2011.
6 years of professional experience in epithermal deposits (high and low sulphidation) and the porphyry environment, ranging from prospect (pre-feasibility) generation to project development. Primary focus of employment was the world class Reko Diq copper-gold porphyry in Baluchistan, Pakistan. Reko Diq is co-owned by Antofagasta Minerals, Barrick Gold Corporation and the Government of Baluchistan.
Responsibilities included:
Geological and geochemical anomaly interpretation, target generation, planning, supervision and implementation of exploration drilling (RC / Diamond).
Geological field mapping (lithological, structural, geomorphic, alteration, veining, mineralization), geotechnical and geological logging of DDH core, Logging of RC chips; geochemical and geochronological sampling, satellite imagery and air-photo interpretation.
Cross section and long section interpretation.
Regional data integration, analysis and interpretation, generating new exploration targets.
Performing technical translation of drill logs, technical/geological reports, and company documents; reviewing drilling data and reports for errors and making recommendations on geological interpretations.
Involved and supervised many water well drilling, installation, development, and monitoring water table.
GIS MapInfo 3D geological interpretation and basics of Vulcan 3D modeling.
