2nd Shift Safety Lead @ Alcan Aluminum, Anode bake oven Sebree Kentucky. Responsible for the entire 2nd shift safety operations to include the overhead crane operations, fall protection, fall arrest, proper PPE wear, etc. Also responsible for implementing JSHA, and making amendments to JSHA as needed. Also conducted all daily tool box talk, and training of personnel new to the refractory field as per Safety requirements.
Acted as liaison between YLI and BCI (Burlington Civil Inc.), the Overall safety authority at the Alcan Aluminum project. Conducted safety audits, incident and accident investigations, and random or targeted drug and alcohol screens.

I worked at the Thyssen Krupp Steel Mill in Calvert, Alabama which is the largest Steel Mill in the United States being built. As a Safety Professional, I watch over different crafts in the steel mill. Responsible for safety tool box talks, audit Jha’s and creating safety awareness. Responsible for orientations and random drug testing. I worked close with other contractors and attended safety steering committees, regular safety walks, and accident and incident reporting.
I was relocated from Foreman Arkansas. The TETON Concrete Plant construction where my duties consisted in watching over the safety of all companies involved in the completion of this project, especially York lining personnel.
I was relocated from Gainesville Florida. The CEMEX Concrete Plant where my duties rivaled those of the TETON project.

I worked in the safety department where my assigned responsibilities such as running tail gate meeting, performing job safety audits and safety walks with the different crews in power plants and refiners. My responsibilities included incident and accident reporting, and conducting equipment inspections. Working with this company allowed me to work on different jobsites such as shut downs and turn around projects. I performed lock out/tag out procedures this was done to ensure the safety of crew members from accidental start up when working on electrical circuit or electrical equipment. I observed field conditions to identify changing conditions that could impact safety field activities and take the appropriate action necessary to address the change condition.
