Objective
To obtain a long-term position as a CNC machinist for an established manufacturing company where I can utilize my knowledge of various machines.
Summary of Qualifications
Certified machinist with 4 years experience at various companies, both large and small. A hands-on individual, who likes to keep very busy. Work well with others, being amiable with co-workers, while always maintaining a professional attitude. Demonstrate utmost responsibility in working independently; often producing my best work in this environment. Pay the highest attention to smallest details, as machining requires working within very close tolerances; all while keeping the “big picture” in mind in order to increase not only production, but also company profits. Great time management skills, and ability to multi-task when the project requires. Maintain current knowledge of manufacturing practices to accomplish company goals.
Technical Skills
Able to read and interpret blueprints and design sketches to manufacture parts for the industries of: aviation, defense and commercial, automotive, and medical. Mastery of set-up and operation of production machinery. Utilize not only tool set-up, but also tool making. Indicate various tools and fixtures on machines and able to make appropriate offsets ensuring correct measurements whenever necessary. Once parts are completed, use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and/or gauges to maintain correct tolerance. Can consistently operate at a very close tolerance. Expert on the following types of machines: lathes; CNC-2 & 3 axis, FANUC controlled, and conventional, mills; horizontal, vertical, conventional, and CNC-up to 4 axis. Also proficient on grinders, drill presses, and de-burring tools. Experience with the machines of Mori Seiki, HAAS, Fadal, Mazak, Bridgeport, Hardinge, as well as many others. Exposure to O.D./I.D. grinding, honing, and lapping. Can utilize MasterCam program.
Also proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as other basic computer functions.
