Background Summary:
I am currently working as a contract/travel Pathologists Assistant. This position, along with my past, have been at large, busy, academic institutions, and has effectively prepared me to be part of and manage the work of a frequently chaotic, fast paced gross lab. I have become well versed at grossing large and small, complex surgical cases, preparing frozen sections, grossing/providing tissue for research, completing full autopsies, and teaching residents and students. I am certain to be an asset to your pathology lab team.
In addition, after seventeen years experience in clinical nutrition, (fourteen years in pediatrics exclusively and three plus years with adults), I am very comfortable in the hospital setting and understand how the institution functions. I specialize in nutrition support, transplant, and have worked with many other medical disorders, which has definitely been an advantage for me in learning and applying disease states with pathology.
