PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

FIRMENICH INCORPORATED, Princeton, NJ 1990 – 2/2010

The world’s largest privately owned flavors and fragrances

developer and manufacturer.

SAP MAKE STREAM PROCESS LEADER, North America & Switzerland (2007–

2/2010)

Responsible for the as-is and to-be models of the shop floor

business processes. Created functional specifications for all

required developments. Led team in the creation and execution of

test scripts. Received executive sign-off of new procedures and

processes. Trained Super Users in “train the trainer” programs for

all shop floor functionalities - specializing in MES.

* Led highly successful SAP implementation for the shop floor of

Firmenich North America.

* Designed custom interfaces to and from MES.

* Managed Goods Issued, Goods Receipts, failed IDOCS and Inventory.

* Led on-schedule, on budget and successful implementation of SAP

on the shop floor of Firmenich Geneva, Switzerland.

SITE INVENTORY MANAGER (2006 – 2007)

Used Kaizen events to motivate staff and turn around an ineffective

material flow process. Materials were received, controlled and

stored over 30% faster. At the same time, inventory accuracy via

Cycle Counting improved on a quarterly basis.

* Managed a staff of nineteen employees.

* Ensured inventory was at least 98% accurate and accounted for in

warehouse.

* Implemented inventory replenishment center resulting in increased

inventory turns.

* Streamlined material flow from receiving dock, through

manufacturing, out to shipping docks.

MANUFACTURING SITE CAPABILITIES ANALYST, North America &

Switzerland (2005 – 2006)

Led the process side of a diverse team to develop a 2-year business

plan and achieve immediate results. Over-time for some shop floor

processes decreased at the same time that overall productivity was

increased. Implemented Continuous Process Improvement and

effectively enabled operators to participate in 5S.

* Analyzed and presented process gaps based on the SCOR model.

* Guided Senior Management to focus on current weaknesses and

implement solutions based on rapid improvement techniques.

* Techniques used - Kaizen, Work Out, Lean, SCOR, 5S, CPI, TQM.

SITE STATISTICS MANAGER (2002 – 2005)

Developed MS Access database to accumulate Manufacturing/Shipping

statistics and output periodic presentations on display throughout

the site. Identified key leading indicators for use in monthly S&OP

meetings. Implemented standard reporting template currently in use.

Heavy use of Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel and

MS Access.

* Provided Production and Sampling shop floor reports including

weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual graphic presentations.

* Reports included Throughput, Automated/Manual production,

Responsible for implementing and maintenance of automatic

compounding machines and associated databases; traveled to Germany

managed vendors with regards to automation equipment.
