INDUSTRIAL TRAINNING:
In the part of M.E academic curriculum, industrial training is completed from “central institute of tool design (CITD), Balanagar” in various CAD/CAM/CAE software’s like.
CAD software’s : Auto cad 2009, Catia V5, Pro/e 4.0, Unigraphics (NX5),
CAE software’s : Hyper mesh (HM09), Ansys 11,
CAM software’s : NC programming, Del Cam, Magics and PSW.
M.E Project:
Title: “Design optimization, Drop Test and Prototyping of Programmable Display System”.
Tools used: Reverse engineering, AutoCAD, Pro/e 4.0, Hyper mesh, Ansys/LS-Dyna,
Objective: The main objective is, the Existing PDS design has encountered different issues, to overcome these issues an attempt has been made to optimize the PDS. It involves:
• Implementation of the Reverse engineering process. And design the individual parts like Top cover, bottom cover and battery plate.
• 3D modeling of the PDS system is done by using Pro/e wildfire.
• Computational grid modeling (Meshing) of PDS was done by HYPER MESH10.0.
• Drop test simulation analysis is done using ANSYS/LS-DYNA to find out the deformation, Stress and strain distributions with different orientations and heights.
• Comparison of obtained working stresses with allowable stresses of the material.
• Finally, Proto type of the PDS is built by using selective laser sintering (SLS) process.
B.E PROJECT:
Title: ” Design and Analysis of Piston Assembly”.
Tools used: Auto CAD, Catia V5 R16 and ANSYS 10.0.
Objective: The objective of the Building mathematical (Theoretical values) model of the Piston assembly and finding the optimum conditions (structural and thermal analysis) for the model using Ansys software. And the work flow involves:
• 3D modeling of the connecting rod, Piston and crank shaft using Catia V5 R16.
• Calculation and validation of the design factors involved in the design.
• Coupled field analysis to find out the Stress and temperature distributions.
• Validation of the computational results is done by comparing with the theoretically calculated values.
