Engineering Geologist

RESUME

* Obtained M.Sc. Degree in Geology from Lucknow University in July, 1973 securing first division & third position in order of merit.

* Joined Council of Scientific & Industrial Research in September, 1973 as Research Scholar & attended preliminary geological investigations of Jurassic rocks in Rajasthan state.

* Joined Directorate of Geology and Mining (UP) in January, 1974 as Asstt.Geologist & conducted base metal/atomic mineral investigations under UNDP Project.

* Joined Geological Survey of India in November, 1975 as Asstt.Geologist & conducted engineering geological investigations for hydroelectric/ infrastructural projects including colony, railway/ road alignments & bridge sites. Got elevated up to the level of Geologist.

* Joined National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited in April,1985 as Asstt.Manager & initially associated in organizing & expending engineering geology & geotechnical division on functional basis to augment the inhouse capability of the Organization. Subsequently attended & coordinated engineering geological & geotechnical studies for various hydroelectric projects in India and abroad, besides consultancy assignments.Meanwhile got promoted as Dy.Manager,Manager,Sr.Manager,Chief & General Manager. Also served in research & development committee constituted by Department of Non-conventional Energy Sources, Ministry of Power, Government of India.

* Joined Jindal Power Limited in September, 2010 as Associate Vice President & involved in DPR stage engineering geological investigations for hydroelectric projects in most complex & challenging terrain in Arunachal Pradesh state.

* Attended various training programmes including Orientation course of Training Institute of GSI, Advance course in Project management conducted by Skanska & NCC International group in Scandinavian Countries, Management courses in MDI-Gurgaon, IIM- Ahmadabad & NIAS-Bangaluru.

* Having professional affiliation with prominent National & International Organizations in the relevant fields.

* Presently unraveling administrative, engineering geological & geotechnical issues for achieving international standards of excellence through adopting state of the art technologies & best practices for development of hydroelectric projects in cost effective, environment friendly and socio-economically response manner at a faster pace. Also commanding & guiding the team of professionals to foster competent, trained & multidisciplinary human capital for carrying out the assigned works.
