PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

2011-Present. Independent database consultant. Acts as an independent contractor in the area of database design and development. Currently working on an enterprise data management solution for a small behavioral health company.

2010-2011.Neways International. Informix 4GL developer. Acted as a Sr. software engineer. Duties included developing new forms, reports, and programs, applications, and software maintenance for a Multi-Level Marketing Company. Used Informix 11.5 on HPUX. Coded in, I-4GL, ESQL/C, and UNIX shell scripts. Used the Interactive debugger, and other tools as required.

2009-2010. Diversified Software Resources. Worked as an Informix Consultant. Duties included software development using Informix 4GL, UNIX SHELL SCRIPTS, and ESQL/C for Insurance applications. Data modeling using tools like power designer and Erwin for new table design and creation. Query tuning and optimization. Wrote stored procedures and triggers. Performed data flow analysis and data migration from multiple legacy systems.

2009-2009. CIBER, Inc. Worked as an Informix Database Consultant. Developed new tables, performed data analysis and conversion. Performed normalization processes on a State of Wyoming minerals management system. Designed databases, performed, capacity planning, and application enhancement and tuning. Duties included data definition, schema management, database design, data and database management and analysis using PowerBuilder 9.X. Responsible for client support on all data/database issues. Reporting and SQL tuning support for other programmers. Coded in SPL, I4-GL, and ESQL/C.

2007-2007 Robert Half Technology. Worked on an Informix Project to re-engineer and re-write the inventory reporting system. Used Informix 4GL, SQL, ESQL/C, Unix Shell, stored procedures and triggers. Used DDL for table and index creation.

2005-2006 ExtraQuest. Informix Developer. Worked as an Informix Developer for a large Insurance Company. Duties included application Software Development, database analysis and design, monitoring and tuning, backup and recovery. Used shell scripting, SQL, I-4GL, SPL, and ESQL/C for application support for several large production database applications.(Informix 7, 9,8 XPS and 11.X).

Wrote triggers and stored procedures for the Informix database. Wrote UNIX shell scripts (Korn shell) and SQL queries against the database. Created forms, reports, and utilities using Informix tools. . Full life cycle development.

1999-2000 Analysts International. (Contractor) Worked as a Software Engineer for Lucent Technologies. Duties included C-language, Shell, pearl, C++, coding, and database management (backup, recovery, analysis and design using Erwin for schema design and management) for the Lucent Billing Invoice Oracle database. (Oracle 8i)

1999-1999 Princeton Information. (Contractor) Informix DBA/Developer Worked as an Informix software developer. Duties included day-to-day production database application support, logical and physical design of database schemas using tools such as Erwin, database configuration and management.

1996-1998 Computer Sciences Corporation. Senior Member Technical staff (Informix DBA). Acted as Lead DBA. Managed and administered multiple databases in an Informix/ UNIX (AIX/HPUX) client/server environment. Duties included disk and memory management, backup and recovery and general Informix applications development support. Assisted with query optimization. Developed UNIX shell scripts to perform routine tasks. Software development using C, ESQL/C, and UNIX shell scripts. Documented user requirements and workflows. Also managed SQL-SERVER databases for the Nature conservancy project. Performed administration on GIS (ARCINFO) databases for the ALMRS project.

Acted as an on-sight consultant to provide support to users, developers and Bureau database administrators. Developed Informix 4GL, UNIX shell, ACE, PERFORM, and ESQL/C code for various applications. Performed requirements analysis and authored the user and technical documentation for the WFIS. (Wildlife and fisheries Information system)

1992-1994 Computer Horizons Corporation. (Contractor) Software Engineering Consultant. Worked as a programmer/analyst. Developed applications software using C, PRO-C, SQL, SQL-PLUS, and other Oracle tools in an Oracle/Unix environment for various telecommunications industry applications for Bell Labs such as switching systems (5ES), Call Detail record processing, Provisioning and Usage, and voice messaging applications.

1988-1992 National Center for Atmospheric Research. Scientific Applications Programmer. Designed and developed scientific applications using FORTRAN and C language. Used an interactive display language to display and analyze solar data. Designed and developed Informix databases to manage large data sets.
