As the Project Finishing Manager I am responsible for the delivery of the substructures, frame, envelope, roof and the external finishing’s. Working as part of the construction team I manage and coach trade contractors, and have the ability to manage site logistics. Coordinate with the site teams and the sub-contractors to ensure that labour resources are on site at all times to meet the demands of the construction programme.

As Project Finishing Manager I display strong leadership skills, overseeing and developing their staff to ensure best performance. Working in the more challenging environment as well as for International companies has helped me excel my planning and organisational skills, good attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tackle a demanding workload

This worldwide hotel group expects the best, and the finish to excel anything that has been built in Ghana

As the Construction Finishing Manager I coordinate closely with the designers and representative of the Client to ensure the finishes are to specification and of the highest quality

Working on such a project has its challenges from sourcing materials to finding the right contractor, to coordinating the fit out of the finishing’s.

My responsibilities include but are not too limited

Programming the works, producing finishing time tables, coordinating with the MEP, coordinating the sub-contractors, sourcing materials, ensuring the curtain walling is to the specification and promoting H/S on the site.

Contractor from around the world, from India, Dubai, UK and the USA are all involved in the construction of the prestige hotel and as the CFM it is my duty to ensure that the works and coordination are to the highest standards

Working on a range of project from luxury apartments, new housing project, refurbishment of buildings and 5* hotel project which I have helped implement the finishing program together ready for the project team.

Responsibilities: Liaising with Client, architects, engineers and design teams, to ensure that work is done to plan, and to a very high standard. To complete daily site reports, RFI's, CVI's, do toolbox talks, source materials and liaise with the clients and doing the Non- Conformance reports, Ensure that all interior and exterior finishes are finished to the highest standard. Shared, managed and directing over 300+ Local labour, trades people and sub-contractors, from, Marble, Tiling, Carpentry, paving, drywall, painting and decorating, MEP works, curtain walling (Brick, Glass,Timber,Trespa and Tile),and other finishing works.

As the SPM in Finishing’s it was my responsibility to run and deal with all aspects of the finishing’s including operation management, finance management, planning of the works, procurement of materials, staff management, plant management and dealing with all technical issues, as well leasing with consultants and architects.

Sleep Exhibition 2009

Working with two separate designers we implemented and built two designs, which were exhibited at this event. This was a new venture, which was a challenge in that both bedrooms were of different design. The design was built off site and then transported to London where we re-erected it in two days ready for the opening day.

Both designs were a great success and one was transported to Dubai to be implemented into a new designer hotel. This was a great team effort as all involved were greatly praised for their commitment and involvement in bringing this event to a successful conclusion.

Assistance Site/Project manager

Assistance site manager. 8 Million Pound project for the University of Nottingham.

This project consisted of two Timber frames building block A four story and block B a three storey, with brick, Curtain wall and Trespa cladding.

Initially this was a 60 week program but due to the intake in September it was reduced to a 40 week program. My daily duties include coordinating with the sub-contractors, reviewing the site progress and reporting this on a weekly basis to the management team and the sub-contractors, daily checks on materials, programming the works and Daily H&S checks. Overseeing all internal finishing trade packages which involved the supervision of trades and labour Non- Conformance reports on daily and weekly basis ensure that areas of work were completed up to standard with minimal defects as possible

Ocon Construction Assistance site manager 2007/2009

As Assistant Site Manager on this 50 million pound project my duties included the performance and the allocation of the technical work. I supervised and lead a large group of employees (200 to 300) who performed complex works.

As the A/SM I checked if the necessary materials and tools were present and if necessary took corrective measures. I ensured the proper processing of administrative information on the project took place within the deadlines required (Time Sheet and Site measurement of works carried out by the sub-contractors).

Working for this multi million pound turn over company we were successful in turning round 81 bedrooms in just 11 weeks. This project was a total refurbishment of one of Manchester's conference hotels, so time was of up most importance as well as the quality of the finishing.

Nation Wide 2001 /2006

Finishing Foreman

Whilst working on project ranging from 1 million to 300 million. I was responsible for the supervision of the direct and sub-contract labour, maintaining the site in a manner which promotes a good corporate image and controlling quality of work through inspections. Other aspects of the role included testing and reporting, compiling the snagging list for the sub-contractors, monitoring the works, carrying out and making sure the works were completed. It was also my responsibility to support the detailed management and quality of the project. I was required to maintain resource levels, manage local logistics, meet program requirements and ensure product is both ready and able to pass through a series of external quality checks prior to handover.

Fit Out Foreman/Manager

As the Foreman it was my duty to delegate roles and responsibilities, inspect the quality of work as it progressed and ensured that all workers adhered to safety guide lines. Assistance with arranging construction permits for projected alterations. Creating regulation conditions for equipment for individual projects / alterations of units. Arranging the handover of the altered property to the client I trained new members of the team and evaluated established members on a regular basis. Working on residential, commercial and hotels. Project ranging from £10,000 to 2million, working the length of the country on project from timber frames, traditional build and Barn conversions
