• Achieved 80% participation on Employee Engagement Survey.
• Re-organized HR department to better align it with the organizational structure.

Director of Human Resources - Tolt Service Group 2007-2010
A member of the executive team for this nationwide company providing IT services for retail chains. Responsible for; opening the Charlotte facility, employee relations, recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, HRIS and employee communication as well as facilities management for the Charlotte location. Three direct reports.
• Developed plan to in-source the IT function for a major customer. Structured the new employees’ on-boarding to Tolt. The customer was delighted with the level of support and the significant cost savings.
• Relocated the HR department to Charlotte at a cost savings while improving quality and client service.
• Implemented a variety of new processes, procedures, policies and systems to improve the quality of new hires, and provide better tools for management.
• Saved the company $25,000 in remodeling fees while at the same time managing the up-fit of 2,500 sq feet of existing warehouse space into office and meeting space. Changes resulted in an impressive, more professional looking office space conducive for meeting with clients.

• Brought previously outsourced HR functions in-house to improve the quality of the staff and the commitment to internal client service including a new employee orientation program and an Employee Stock Option Program.
• Developed a Leadership Development program for the Engineering Directors. Successfully transitioned the department from dysfunctional to a highly effective cohesive team.
• When the company went into Chapter 11, developed programs to retain critical staff and to eliminate non-essential staff, also created cost effective outplacement programs.
• Team member for the selection and implementation of LAWSON an ERP system.

Led the HR team for the US operations of the second largest independent telecommunications company in Canada with over 1,500 US based employees. Eight direct reports.
• Key member of the due diligence team for the acquisition of UB Networks from Tandem Computers. Responsible for the on-boarding, integration and consolidation of the UB Networks employees. As a result of the acquisition, the employee benefits program was overhauled resulting in a savings in excess of $1million/year.
• Implemented CYBORG, an ERP system .
