*** ***** * ******, ***. #*, Lake Worth, FL 33460 ● 561-***-****● *************@*****.***

Personal Profile

I have participated in inline hockey for nearly two decades and have a true passion for the sport. I have seen, played, and coached the game from lowest to highest levels the game has to offer. I have been involved in coaching youth athletics and training since 2007. I am currently in college part-time at Palm Beach State College. I am close to receiving my AA degree and plan on continuing my efforts for a bachelors and/or master’s degree in exercise science.

Professional Experience

Palm Beach Skate Zone, Lake Worth, FL - 2007 to current

Coaching and inline hockey instruction

I started coaching recreational inline hockey at the Palm Beach skate zone in 2007, all age levels. The responsibilities I took as a coach were as follows. Conducted and hosted team try- outs, practices, off- ice training, team meetings, team gatherings, and fund-raising events. I was in charge of scheduling, pricing and booking practice times for the team at different facilities. I was properly given a budget for practices and readily booked and paid for rink times for each team. I handled collections from the team, skaters and parents, if needed. I made sure the team was properly equipped and properly fueled for performance. I guided eating habits for the skaters as well as proper training techniques used in the gym and by young athletes. I stressed proper ways to warm-up and cool-down during tournaments. Often times we would play multiple games in a day, by taking these easy steps the team steadied efficiently through the duration of the games. I would also conduct and drill off- ice work outs and training regiments for the skaters and team. I took pride in the fact that I had no relation to one skater on any team I've coached. It put the team in a better position to handle complex situations between parents, coaches, and players. I felt that it was a tremendous honor to coach an organized sport especially one that I feel so passionate about.

Travel Coach/Hockey Instruction, Palm Beach County, FL- 2007-2012

I started coaching travel inline hockey in the 12 and under division in 2007. My team consisted of skaters born in the years 1994 & 1995. (Team stayed together for nearly 5 years). I would collaborate with the parents for traveling plans, supervision, expenses, and hotel plans for tournaments held throughout the country. Our team traveled heavily in the Southeast but we often had to travel to compete in notable Nationals. Some of the cities the team traveled to were Orlando, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Missouri.

Clinic experience 2008-2012

I have conducted clinics for inline hockey in numerous places and venues in the state of Florida. Skill level and age is how I break down the clinics into different sessions and groupings to best satisfy the skills need for the group/team. I have also conducted team practices for an all-girls team as well as other travel and recreational teams. I have taught the most basic philosophies to beginning skaters, and have gone in depth with training to some of the most skilled inline players out of Florida. I conduct a warm-up and off-ice training session before and after each clinic. I try to give the athlete as much information, and detail as I can and make it reasonable enough to often times perform at home.
