PROJECTS:
IP-based switches on 4G
•Currently working on independent study on IMS and SIP protocol and its application on VoLTE.
•Study the evolution and modification to be done in IMS to integrate voice feature in LTE
•Study of issues in integrating services like voice, SMS, MMtel over LTE
Interference effects on IEEE 802.15.4 Dec 2011
•Analyzed research papers on interference effects of coexisting technologies like IEEE 802.11 WLAN, Bluetooth and microwave on IEEE 802.15.4 within the same band.
•Analyzed the effect of noise and interference on Packet transmission and Received Signal Strength under beacon and non-beacon enabled modes.
•Concluded theoretical and practical solutions to minimize the interference effects on IEEE 802.15.4
Music Mania Dec 2011
•Created an application which pulled top tracks of a given artist from www.last.fm linked to YouTube to play songs in Perl.
•Application would send the listed tracks as a message on Facebook or even tweet about the track on twitter. A wiki link was also provided to know more about the artist.
GSM Network testing for T - Mobile Washington DC Network: June 2011
•Collected field data for NE and NW of DC area, GSM Network in PCS band E and F with proScout tool.
•Processed the collected field data for performing network optimization and Problem Identification.
MAXPLAN Deployment, PCS/AWS System Implementation Jan 2011
•Planned a network with 20 base stations to cover Washington DC Metro Area and simulated coverage
•Modified the antenna parameters for optimized coverage and analyzed interference between microwave and base station using Poseidon.
Satellite System, STK Dec 2010
•Launched GEO satellites and determined number of satellites required to cover earth and get coverage.
•Leo Satellite: Determined when and where the satellite can be signal can be received from college park.
Power theft detection and factory automation, University of Pune July 2008
•GSM based project in which we could switch ON or OFF the devices using any mobile handset. Implemented power theft detection by giving feedback to the current transformer
•Automated few parameters of factory, using microcontroller in embedded C.
Smart Arrows, University of Pune May 2007
•The main catch in the project was that when the light turns RED, a nail arrangement comes from under the road and obstructs any vehicle from violating traffic rules.
•Implemented a mechanical assembly of spikes which came up, to restrict cars from violating traffic rules.
TECHNICAL SEMINARS
•Working on paper presentation on LTE Mobility which will cover the air interface and core network of LTE.
•Presented a paper on ‘Generations of Wireless Technology’ and ‘AI and Neural Networks’ at national
technical paper presentation.
•Taught school students of two rural schools on Wireless Technology in IEEE awareness program.
