PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
o ITT Technical College, Atlanta GA:
Dean, Criminal Justice Department (01/08-Present)
In this job position, I am responsible for many Administrative Duties of the College ranging from conducting staff interviews, scheduling, performing faculty observations, Performance Reviews, exit interviews and supervision of both the General Education staff and Criminal Justice staff of the College. In the role of Trainer, I regularly interact with prospective students and public in a marketing aspect, explaining the program, the school and acquiring new students.
I schedule and implement instructor conferences and professional development sessions. I develop and implement student retention strategies, oversee faculty scheduling, hiring, firing, student problem resolution, implementing new or revised policies and procedures., daily track attrition and measures for retention and SAP.
Quarterly, I conduct regular curriculum implementation meetings with faculty and recommend improvements in curriculum design. As Lead Instructor, I teach a full course load of site based classes, Directed Independent Study courses and facilitate online curriculum courses as necessitated by our student body. I serve as a subject matter expert for students, instructional staff and advisory committees regarding academic curriculum and technical information. I facilitate Product Knowledge Training sessions for Marketing representatives over Academic Affairs matters, and conduct Student Prep Workshops for new students.

o Griffin Technical College, Griffin GA:
Criminal Justice Program Coordinator/Chair (03/05 – 12/07)
In this job position, I was responsible for the Criminal Justice Diploma and Degree Programs, respectively. My program was consistently one of the top three enrolled at the college. My duties also included advising and supervising the college security department and staff. Recruitment is a focus area I have worked strongly on, as well as fund raising for the college. I also hired and supervised an adjunct staff (currently seven), a yearly budget, and acted as advisor to all 200+ CRJ students. In addition to these departmental duties, I also taught a full caseload each quarter, prepared all syllabi, and requisitioned all texts for my department. My primary subject matter is thirty plus courses dictated by DTAE, however I also instruct at the Police Academy concentrating on Criminal Investigations, Constitutional Law, Corporate Security/Safety, Criminal Procedure, and Interviews and Interrogations. I teach forty classes on an annual basis, in class and online at the college. I also was Chair of the college’s Facilities and Operations Team which developed and maintained the safety plan for emergencies related to the college.
o State of GA DHR Central Region Board, Dublin GA:
Consumer Protection Specialist/Investigator/Trainer (02/03 – 03/05)
In this investigative capacity, I analyzed, reviewed, and evaluated medical complaints, grievances, deaths and serious incidents of MH/MR consumers and mental health facilities in the Central Region area. In addition to this facet, I also investigated all financial theft, Medicare and Medicaid fraud, and exploitation incidents that arose, and conducted sporadic audits as necessitated with Federal, State and private providers. I mediated all official employee disputes, facilitated project deadlines, promoted training programs, and streamlined business operations for 40 sites, and over 1,000 employees.

I am an adjunct faculty member specializing in the School of Arts and Sciences, teaching primarily in the fields of Criminal Justice, Public Administration and Political Science.

In this capacity I delivered a weekly television show, hosting guest speakers on varied topics to a local television audience of approximately 60, 000 viewers.
o State of GA DHR Central Regional Board, Dublin GA:
Mental Health/Substance Abuse Program Manager (12/01 - 02/03)
In this capacity, I worked with existing providers, and potential providers to improve services for the Mental Health Mental Retardation Substance Abuse Medicaid program for the State of Georgia. I participated in provider enrollment processes, certification process, and JCAHO, OSHA, ORS, and APS audits, and conducted training workshops to assist providers. On a regular basis I conducted internal audits and investigations regarding contractual compliance of four Community Service Boards under the supervision of the Regional Board.
o State of GA DHR Central Regional Board, Dublin GA:
Regional Forensic Project Manager (09/00 - 12/01)
In this capacity, I served as one of three pilot forensic coordinators for the DHR in the State of Georgia, covering a twenty-three county area, encompassing eight thousand square miles. I worked closely with all law enforcement agencies in conjunction with any individual who also has mental health issues.
Another facet of my job was to work closely with four Community Service Boards in my region to better arrive at communication and information sharing between law enforcement and the mental health providers. Furthermore, I was responsible for researching all forensic issues of this region to identify gaps and needs in the service area, and take appropriate steps to better solve the issues.

I am an adjunct faculty member specializing in the School of Arts and Sciences, teaching primarily in the field of Public Administration.
o Club Fitness, Dublin GA:
Manager (10/99 – 9/2000)
I was responsible for all facets of a two thousand member Fitness Facility. Primary focus was in leading a sales team of four internal and three external sales persons in procuring EFT customers. I was also responsible for monitoring safety of equipments, ordering for Pro Shop, scheduling and Corporate Wellness Accounts.

Senior Parole Officer/Assistant Chief (04/96 - 10/99)
I was employed in the capacity of Senior Parole Officer, and Assistant Chief in the Dublin Parole Office. I was responsible for all facets of parolee interaction, i.e., supervision of their activities, employment, substance abuse, investigating new criminal charges, and facilitating their transition back into society in the better manner given their circumstances. For a period of one year I was assistant chief/office manager in the Dublin Parole Office, responsible for a number of executive duties including supervising seven junior staff, budget and audits.

I was employed as patrol officer with the City of Dublin for the remaining eighteen months. In this capacity, I performed a wide variety of tasks associated with all facets of local level police actions.
