Administration

4 years of experience in Business Intelligence/Business Objects (BI/BO) enterprise solutions that include Business Objects architecture, software deployment, infrastructure maintenance, business objects and system administration, BOE Security, Universe/ Report/Dashboard development, documentation, Production Support and user training.

Experience in Installation, Configuration and Administration of Business Objects versions 6.5/XIR2/3.1 on Windows Machines in a multi-tier environment on a cluster and applied latest Service Pack and Fix Pack patches.

Strong Knowledge in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) such as developing, testing, Migrating, Administrating, security management and production supporting on, Windows 2000/XP.

Experience in upgrading the environment from BO 3.1 SP2 to SP3 and SP4 and tested the fixed issues.

Build the new universes as per the user requirements by identifying the required tables from Data mart and by defining the universe connections.

Linked the Universes to share the common components between the universes.

Exported the Universe to Repository for making available to Business Objects users and Web Intelligence users.

Used Derived tables to create the universe for best performance, and use context and alias tables to solve the loops in Universe.

Created complex reports stating revenue generation per year using cascading and user objects like measure objects by using @aggregate_aware function to create the summarized reports, optimization and Performance tuning of Universes.

Exported the Universes to the Repository to make resources available to the users for ad-hoc report needs.

Generated Reports using the Universe as the main Data provider and also using the personal data files provided by the users.

Creating the Reports using the Universes as the main Data providers and writing the complex queries including Sub Queries.

Provided end user support and problem resolution for various issues related to Business Objects.

Developed universe user documentation guide for the end users reference.

Discussed with the business users and reports owners on reporting requirements (Marketing, Customer Care, Finance, Sales, Network Performance…) and help if need be in the design of report specifications.

SLA Process

Establish and maintain SLA with the individual data source owners to ensure that data is supplied to the DWH as agreed by the business requirements

Define SLA with Technical departments that feed us with daily data like VAS, core and charging

Define SLA with Business units especially the one who request frequent reports like Marketing Department

Schema & Report Documentation

Develop a complete documentation for Reports on BO & interface Schema.

Implement a change control procedure & document for all application to ensure that any update, upgrade and change is documented.

Update the final documentation once a change occurs.

Participated in the New Numbering Plan (7 digits to 8 digits for the phone numbers) at Digicel, by making tests on the DWH (DataWareHouse) and by making sure that all applications under my responsibility would work properly after the change

Participated in the New DWH Project at Digicel by working with the Development Team on some Analyzers related to PSL, SDP, and MSC by making test and by re-writing some major SQL/PLSQL scripts.
