Description: TPMS is the Third Party Management System being built in CVS. Existing system is on outdated technology and is file based and has very limited transparency for the business user. The new TPMS system is more user friendly and will help them efficiently manage Third Party Payers, maximize cash flow to CVS, minimize bad debt expense, provides ability to process claims daily rather than weekly and replace existing system which is not scalable to current and future volumes .The Data/Transaction volume is very high (~3 million third party claim transactions per day).The system consist of 400 batch jobs comprising of sql batches and ETL batches. This also includes the changes done as a part of upgrade being done from NCPDP 5.1 to NCPDP D.0.

NCPDP Telecommunications Standard Version D.0 is an updated version of the HIPAA standard for pharmacy claims transactions.

Role and Responsibilities as SME for Posting Third Party Claims in TPMS system

Description: RxConnect is an Enterprise Pharmacy Management System developed for CVS/Pharmacy, one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States. The current CVS Pharmacy legacy system used was Rx90 system which was built in mainframe .The data had to be migrated into the new database so that the new application can be deployed in the stores. The new application is centralized application thus once data is loaded into centralized data base we need to migrate data from centralized Oracle database to MYSQL local database as that is being utilized during offline i.e when system goes offline, it uses local store MySql DB.

Role and Responsibilities as Pharmacy Business Data and ETL Analyst:

• Actively participated in the design phase for data conversion architecture.

• Involved in Meetings/Discussions with the site teams on regular basis as part of the requirement gathering.

• Create mapping for all the fields to be migrated from one system to other with business rule of transformation mentioned with the same.

• Involved in the preparation of High level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) specifications.

• Involved in designing and developing the Informatica mappings and work flows for Data Conversion mechanism.

• Involved in complete software development life cycle (SDLC) of the project.

Description: CVS Caremark Corporation acquired Longs Drug Stores Corp for $2.9 billion. The deal brought Longs drug stores which were almost 521 stores in California, Hawaii, Nevada and Arizona into the CVS fold. This acquisition was very critical for the CVS Corp as with this acquisition ,CVS acquired the business in West coast region .In the initial phase of this acquisition, I was involved in the requirement analysis and effort estimation of the project which consisted of converting all the Longs stores to CVS new RxConnect Dispensing system. Then I worked throughout the acquisition SDLC cycle .The first Longs Store was live on the new system by my team on 3 March’

Role and Responsibilities as Longs Acquisition Techno Functional Business Lead:

• Actively participated in the design phase for data conversion architecture.

• Involved in Meetings/Discussions with the site teams on regular basis as part of the requirement gathering.

• Understanding the usage of Database tables by different Module leads in Longs Development team. There were around 400 database tables out of which 280 are transactional tables.

• Involved in mapping rules/business logics in the mapping sheet for thousand of fields in Longs Database to map to the CVS RxConnect system’s Database with CVS team.

• Setting up meetings with different groups associated to the business model like Legal, Operations, IS etc to understand their needs.

Description: The Store Reports are the critical part of the RxConnect System. There are majorly daily and weekly reports. The daily reports at the store are used either as a practice of legal reports and other help the store manager at the store to see the out of stock drugs, monitor the work performed by each pharmacist in each shift. The weekly reports normally are weekly sales report, Dispensing time report which Operations/Business look at to determine if the prescriptions are dispensed on time and what are the average sales per store /per drug etc .The accuracy and performance of these reports is very important.

Role and Responsibilities as Technical and Functional Analyst

• Worked with business leaders to translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications.

• Lead the development of conceptual, logical and physical architectures with technical teams (Application Development, Business Intelligence, Data Reporting, Quality Assurance).

CVS/pharmacy fills more than one of every seven retail prescriptions in America, and one of every five in our own markets. What's more, our Extra Care program boasts over 50 million cardholders, making it the largest and most successful retail loyalty program in the country. Tlog was an important part of the system dealing with the financial feeds for all the transactions. These financial feeds were an output feed from the system for all the stores. These feeds were the input to various other downstream systems like Mainframe System for financial analysis, sales etc.This was also a feed for the TPMS (Third Party Management System) which is a system at CVS that manages finances/billing with various Third Parties.

Role and Responsibilities as Development Module Lead

DESCRIPTION RxConnect is an Enterprise Pharmacy Management System for CVS/Pharmacy, one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States. CVS/pharmacy® fills one of every eight retail prescriptions in America. The RxConnect application is being built to meet the CVS Store operations needs. It is an online transactional software system enabling pharmacies to address the needs of prescription filling, drug dispensing and verification activities. The system captures all interactions with the CVS customer and provides functionality to fill the prescription in an easy and efficient manner. The system will support the CVS enterprise organization consisting of multiple pharmacies dispersed across a large geographic area.

System is based on JAVA/J2EE technology stack. Application has a thick-client designed using JAVA Swings and uses HTTP for Client/Server communication. Application is deployed on Web Logic environment with 20 Web Logic instances on AIX environment. The two major technologies used in the project were Java for the front end application and Oracle as the Database and Informatica to load the data from the older system to new system. Other technologies used in the system are JMS, JAXB, JTA and JDBC, Oracle 10g as Central Database, MySql as Store database and Informatica for ETL.

Role and Responsibilities as Performance ETL Analyst

Performance Tuning of the Pl/Sql queries, ETL code and RxConnect Application Java Code in the PT team

• Improved performance of the pl/sql queries used throughout the Java code in the application.

• Identified and fixed the Bottle Necks and tuned the Mappings and Sessions for improving performance. Tuned both ETL process as well as Databases.

• Worked as part of Performance SWAT team, responsible for analysis of performance related issues and providing solutions.

DESCRIPTION: This project works as a communication subway .The aim of the project is to provide two services i.e. mail service, matrimonial service within an organization. Clients can write, send and receive mails as well as can maintain their address book. Clients can add their profile and can search their suitable match using matrimonial service. The attracting feature of the project is that this project can work even if the server is down members within the organization can communicate with each other. This project provides you services that are implemented at server side using Servlets and can be accessed through the clients all over the network and the clients can have any platform-linux/unix/Microsoft O.S or any operating system and any web browser (Mozilla, Netscape, Internet explorer)
