It is with your organization that I desire to offer my nearly 12 years of experience as a physical therapist. As I have stated in my resume, I have extensive experience working with a very broad array of patients. In addition, I have had constant interaction and negotiation with multiple levels of management that has strengthened my interpersonal and administrative skills. I am accustomed to a fast-paced environment where handling multiple jobs and patients simultaneously is a day-to-day occurrence. Thus I have a very good work ethic and innate ability to hit the ground running in any environment that surrounds me.
My experience has allowed me to master my skills in assessing, evaluating, and implementing patient care plans, discharge planning, and patient and family education. My approach includes a combination of modalities, manual therapy intervention, exercise prescription-progression, therapeutic exercises and different techniques like PNF, Mckenzie, Bobath to help develop muscular strength, endurance, stability, neuromuscular control and coordination.
I have developed communication skills with families and other health care providers. I am equally comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team. I am equally adept at maintaining excellent relationships with patients, family members and doctors.
I am very interested in the physical therapy position your company currently seeks to fill and the challenges it presents. My academic training and work experiences have well prepared me for this role. I have enclosed a copy of my resume for your review. I am confident that my education and my experience have prepared me for the position you have available. I also want to point out that I have a work authorization card valid for one year, so I am available to work immediately. Eventually I would like to be sponsored for working visa/green card.
Resumes are brief by their nature and cannot tell the whole story. I am convinced that I can make an immediate contribution to your organization and would like to meet you to discuss that opportunity. I can be reached at the above address and telephone number. Once again, thank you very much for your time and attention. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Martha L. Camacho-Luque
