• Maintain the safety of the inmates and fellow officers

• Counsel individuals and groups on prison rules and their

individual needs

• Stand guard over recreational activities

• Patrol buildings, checking locks, windows, and gates for

any altering

• Escort inmates around the prison

• Trained to respond and react in highly dangerous

situations
