Mission Foods is an international multibillion dollar company with corporate offices in Dallas, Texas and Monterey, Mexico. The New Brighton Plant manufactures corn tortillas, flour tortillas, fried corn chips, and un-fried corn chips. Responsibilities included operating a 24/7 production operation, managing 6 production supervisors, 12 line leads and over 225 non-union hourly associates.

• Lowered overtime from 23% to less than 6%.

Proper Foods - Deming, New Mexico

Responsibilities included all shift operations, 2 shift managers, 3 supervisors, 11 leads, 215 non–union hourly employees, as well as, warehouse, maintenance and sanitation. Further duties included purchasing, staffing, budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, transportation/logistics, and development and implementation of strategic plans and improvements.

• Lowered overall overtime from 26% to 6% in less than 6 months.

Areas of responsibly included managing all shift operations running a high-speed multi-product production operation, training and developing of shift supervisors, the continuous improvement of operations, quality, and safety. Additional duties included purchasing, staffing, production scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, and transportation/logistics.

• Lowered unmanaged overtime from over 12% to less than 2% in 1 month.

Starmark Foods was the producer and distributor of all food products used by Wyatt’s Cafeteria 135 stores nationwide. Starmark had gross annual sales of $14.4 million. Responsibilities included overseeing a production team of 2 managers, 4 supervisors, 100 hourly team members, QC, and purchasing. Starmark Foods manufactured frozen pies and cakes; mayonnaise, salad dressings, bottled vinegar, dips, refrigerated salads, fresh salads, cooked and refrigerated sauces and fresh and frozen meat. Starmark distributed their product by their company owned trucks.
