Research Consultant. Responsible for internet recruiting, telephone research, candidate investigations and screening in support of engineering and technical professional executive search. Scannell Resources administers all recruiting programs and search activities for Commonwealth Engineering & Construction, Houston, TX, a business employing 235 professional employees, with annual revenue in excess of $46 M.
• Conducted investigations on candidates’ backgrounds and qualifications, which resulted in a more refined candidate pool
• Developed portfolios of qualified candidates for clients, which streamlined the hiring process

American Home Title, Dallas, TX May 2005 to May 2006
Funder/Escrow Assistant. Responsible for balancing loan files, disbursement of funds, required wire transfers on all loan files, file maintenance, recording of all legal documents, shipping of loan packets, satisfying funding conditions for loans, billing and collection for vendors and clients, escrow account maintenance, and required special projects. Worked for employer full-time, while in SMU MBA program.
• Enhanced process to balance loan files, which reduced time to turnaround files and disperse loans by 10%
• Managed all wire transfers coming in an out of the title office, which reduced errors and decreased time required to process loan funds by 20-25%

Manager, McFarlin Memorial Auditorium. Responsible for day-to-day administrative operations, activity, performances and presentation bookings for a 2386 seat multi-purpose theater venue. Varied media theatrical presentations and activities included national/international lecture series, musical concerts, international performance touring road companies, dance performances, individual and group ceremonial presentations, and other entertainment performances for the interests of the University population and the general public. Facility employed 12+ stagehands, 4 house managers, 2 maintenance/janitorial personnel, 12-22 security and ushers during theater operations.
• Negotiated all client contracts, which increased event profitability and minimized misunderstandings and conflicts; with the exception of 2001, event attendance and venue profitability increased during every year of my tenure
• Billed and collected all outstanding invoices, which reduced DSO and significantly improved venue cash flow
• Revised and maintained building policy manual, which streamlined and clarified procedures, increased efficiency and improved communication around work assignments
• Wrote and implemented venue safety and crisis management plan, which reduced disaster related risk, increased patron safety and lowered asset loss
• Coordinated budgeting process, which achieved operational efficiencies, reduced production overages and resulted in increased venue profitability
