Supported the Project Director in undertaking the following responsibilities on the two projects above:
• Schedule Control – Liaised with discipline technical leads weekly to document performance against milestone dates. Schedule then updated and reissued with critical line analysis reviewed with Project Director.
• Resource Management – Weekly review of 100+ resource time and expense bookings, action taken where inappropriate bookings made against forecast budget and schedule.
• CRM (Client Relations Management) – Production of bi-weekly project progress report distributed to clients documenting performance against project schedule milestones, and financial performance current versus forecast budget utilizing EVM (Earned Value Management) recording CPI and SPI (Cost Performance Index and Schedule Performance Index).
• Financial Management – Production of invoices against payment schedule and incorporation of change control increase into budget and schedule as required.
• EDM (Electronic Document Management) – Responsible for issuing of all drawings to client using in-house document system and SharePoint.
• Risk Management – Coordination of risk review meetings and recording of risk monies to be built into the budget.
Biffa Waste UK Ltd $50,000 Capital Spend Programme – Project Manager
This project was a first for MWH UK with this client and successful delivery of the initial project developed into a current ongoing relationship between the two companies.
Key responsibilities included:
• Coordinated the delivery of the Capital Spend Programme utilizing Primavera 6 and delivery of a Tender Document Framework.
• Coordinated multi discipline specialists against a capped budget and aggressive schedule.
• Analyzed tender documents assisting the client to maximize market conditions and secure bids for work at a premium price.
• Successful delivery of this project also resulted in MWH resource being seconded directly into the clients operation.
Crown Lift Trucks Ltd, Warrington, UK 1999 – 2007
During this period of employment I progressed through promotions to cover the following roles:
1. Parts Department Manager (Key Successes):
• Introduced a branch inventory audit procedure which incorporates 40+ audits on a 3 yearly basis to provide engineers with fast moving stock items to achieve target of 75% first time fix.
• Implemented inventory control measures to reduce fiscal stock loss of 25% p.a. to 1% p.a. within 8 months.
• Re-structured a fast moving branch stock to increase parts delivery time to engineers in order to reduce customer downtime to a minimum.
• Upon analysis of mass data introduced a 999 emergency vehicle off road report to provide transparency between standard parts requirements and key account requirements amongst departments.
2. North West England Service Supervisor (Key Successes):
• Responsible for all office based personnel and allocation of work to 40 field based engineers. Work allocated in manner best suited to meet customer needs.
• Implemented a work load structure for field engineers to ensure all maintenance contract inspections achieved in month due.
• Responsible for producing KPI reports that were used for analysis to forecast future growth.
3. North West England Sales Office Manager (Key Successes):
• Time management responsibility to ensure budgetary demands and forecasts achieved via new and used product delivery.
• Responsible for implementation of business process systems to ensure customer orders processed correctly on factory and follow through to final installation.
• Control of all technical requests on products to ensure company authorisation given prior to processing of customer order.
• Oversee coordination of potential new customer demonstration requests to ensure correct product is supplied and logistics are practical for the company to promote new business.
• Monitor Workshop performance to ensure all deadlines for product delivery will be achieved.
