Successfully manage and provide support for small to large scale capital improvement projects through the process of bidding, planning, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and implementation.
o New Product Launch – Provided management with contractor scheduling and permitting for installation of new equipment and plant improvement projects for the production of a new lightweight product. Functioned as the liaison between plant personnel and Corporate. Project valued at $4.4MM.
o Mobile Equipment Wash Bay – Worked closely with contractors to execute a turnkey project to construct a wash bay to accommodate all mobile equipment types and install a water treatment system to eliminate drainage of wash water into the surrounding environment. Project valued at $150K.
o Maintenance Dredging – Obtained a 10 year maintenance dredging permit from the Army Corps of Engineers. Coordinated with a marine contractor and the Army Corps of Engineers to perform dredging and disposal of 9,000 cubic yards of material in front of the plant dock. Project valued at $125K.
Cross-functional team leader for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt projects utilizing the DMAIC process. Roles include educating team members on the Lean Six Sigma methodology, facilitating team meetings, performing statistical analysis using Minitab Software, executing design of experiments, and presenting results to plant management and corporate executives.
Responsible for completing and submitting all annual, semi-annual, and quarterly environmental reports required by the EPA and State. Actively participate in permit modifications and renewals (i.e. Title V, Waterways Removal-Fill). Ability to communicate with state agencies to concerning environmental issues. Ensure that all environmental procedures and permit requirements at the plant are met.
Issue and manage all contracts relating to on-site contractors and sub-contractors. Ensure that all critical documents (safety information, certificate of insurance, etc.) are reviewed and meet company requirements prior to issuing contract.
Responsible for enforcing and implementing the plant’s Customer and Contractor Safety Program. Provide employee training on current requirements and administer site specific safety orientation to all contractor and subcontractors.
