As the accounting manager at PacifiCare Life and Health and PacifiCare Life Assurance, I was responsible for overseeing all DOI regulatory filings in 44 states, GAAP and OCBOA financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, investments, budgets and forecasts, cash management, RBC filing and analysis, MD&A, IBNR and lag study analysis, capitation, and DOI examination and independent audit coordination, with a staff of six. Computer experience: Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management and PeopleSoft HRMS. Also, FOCUS, COBOL, SS&C investment software, A.M. Best ESP, Oracle RDB data warehouse, MS Office software, Visio.

Key results:

• Integrated accounting for both the FHP and Harris Methodist acquisitions.
