Introduction:

I am a hard worker and go the extra mile to accomplish the task at hand. At the age of 10, I began mowing lawns. Then at age 13, I seasonally picked peaches and worked on the dock. I hauled hay and raised my own cattle, while holding down a permanent job at a local grocery/feed store. All of this was in my spare time prior to college. I was an excellent baseball and basketball player in high school but I am only 5'9" tall. I was offered many college baseball scholarships but I turned them down because I really wanted to play college hoops. I spoke with Hall of Fame Coach Bill Vining at Ouachita Baptist University about playing for his basketball team. Coach Vining did not have the heart to tell me but told my mom that I would not make the team. I registered at OBU, tried out and made the basketball team despite Coach Vining's prediction to the contrary. This determination and work ethic has been with me and continues with me throughout my life. I am ready for the next challenge.
